FIL Spirit of Lacrosse Award – Dan Leidl

                         FIL SPIRIT OF LACROSSE HONOREE                        

Dan Leidl, shown here with his two-year-old son, Holden, was Ireland’s recipient of the FIL Spirit of Lacrosse Award at the 2011 World Indoor Championships in Prague.  One player or staff member from each of the national teams at the Tournament, along with one official, was selected for the honor.


Dan Leidl has extensive experience as both a coach and player for Ireland’s National Teams.  He played for Ireland at the 2002, 2006 and 2010 World Championships, was Head Coach for the Women’s National Teams at the 2008 European Championships and 2009 World Championships, and assistant coach at the 2007 and 2011 Indoor Championships.  At the end of the 2010 FIL World Championships, he was one of two Ireland players selected for the President’s Team.
